The activity file has been supplied in both versions 3 and 4 – please download the appropriate version for your program. Perimeters of Rectangles

This activity makes use of a Geometer's Sketchpad file, to gather data on the length and width of different sized rectangles. You can then calculate the perimeter informally. Teacher's Note: the formal perimeter formula of P = 2 (L + W) may be introduced here, depending on your preference.

This technology application consists of an instructions sheet and a file that uses The Geometer's Sketchpad. You will need to download the zipped Sketchpad file to your hard disk for this exercise. After you have downloaded the file below, you will need to unzip it.
